Know Thy Food, keep the doctor away

  let your food be your medicine,  Hippocrates, father of medicine Universal Food  Cabbage and Carrots, Wheat and Potatoes, Eggs and Milk  by Professor Ashok Malhotra  —- —-+ INTRODUCTION   As a scientist and professor, i travelled across the world.  Due to a queasy stomach that did not tolerate most foods available in restaurants and hotels, i had to depend on my own cooking. Sadly  this when the food was paid for too.  Perhaps one of these moments, was in the summer of 1976, I was then a doctoral student at UBC in Vancouver. Some of the research work that was already conplete was sent for publication to the International Center for Heat and Mass Transfer centered arounf Imperial College London and Chaired by Professor D. Green Buddhism 2024

  Mother Goddess as viewed in Himalayas, Green Tara Green Buddhism is a reinterpretion of ancient tibetan Buddhism reinterpreted in moder context.  Green Buddhism begins with revognition of fact that we are all born of mother Earth, the green side of it gor it is plant life that brings us good and our life breath in form of oxygen. Out spirit may have come from afar but a spirit or soul needs a body to express itself and that body comes grom.motjervEarth.  Mother Earth was personified in various forms through out the Ancient world in various forms. In Buddhism she is personified as a green goddess seated often shown seated on a lotus in various yogic or meditational postures such sd the one shown here by author.  The light that emanates from.her is an emerald green color. Democracy Square

 _  _ In the past 10,000 or so years of available human history, human habitations, villages  towns or countries have been largely under the rule of an all powerful Chief or King, whose word was the law.  There were few brief exceptions in parts of the world where democracy flourished briefly,  as in ancient Athens. However  largely, human civilizations have been ruled by kings.  Not all King-ruled or to use a modern description authoritarian rule were harsh.   There are many examples in human history where a good King made life wonderful for people. One such from India are the rule by family of King Ram with capital in Ayodhya.  A more recent example is rule by moghul King Akbar who made India a golden bird of the world.  However, since a bad rule is always possible under a bad king, thinkers ponder over a solution.
